Everyone has a favorite hoodie, one that's been in their closet for years. For me, it's an old hoodie I picked up at a truck stop for no other reason than it was cold and I had somewhere to get to. Ten years later, it has frayed cuffs, sun-fading, and the kind of heavy weight fabric that only gets better with age; that hoodie was created to last. That's where the idea for our second release started, clothes that are made for use.
The first thing I thought of when concepting the second release was trucking culture. The trucking industry has been a part of my life since I was little, whether it was my Grandfather shipping cattle across the country for Obar or my dad working in the freight industry for 20+ years. As I put together source inspiration for our second release I referenced the kind of purpose-built clothing that stayed alive in my memories of those experiences.
This release features our first heavyweight hoodie, the new structured "trucker" fit Obar hat, and a second release of our original unstructured rope hat. Each inspired by quality materials and my experience of the small town west.
Every Obar release is based on a different experience of the west, and this one is close to me, making release 2 even more special. Thanks everyone.
